Dear Friends,

These past few winter months, I have been deeply absorbed in my work, painting almost every day of the week in my studio or outside. I have recently stepped back to look at what I have been doing, and I am excited to see the paintings in their entirety. I know why people refer to a show as a “body of work”; the pieces come together to form something that is cohesive – an essence, a poem of images.  These paintings will be showing in May at Masters Gallery.

I have also been involved in what I call my “Donation months”; during the months after Christmas, many hardworking organizations put on fundraisers for their various groups, and for a number of years I have had the opportunity to donate art to these organizations. I would like to name them in brief so that you can check them out: Calgary Philharmonic Orchestra; Calgary Sien Lok Society; the Calgary Opera; the Calgary Fertility Clinic/ Generations of Hope; Schmancy & The Glenbow Museum; The SanPhilippo Children’s Research Foundation (Toronto); Guinness & Green & the organizations that Boyden supports every year. It’s always incredible to see how much people do in their cities; it gives me hope to witness the generosity of others.

My upcoming show at Masters Gallery will hang between May 1-9, with an Artist Talk on May 2 at 2 pm. If you would like to know the date of the reception please email me.

Take good care. Thank you for reading.
